0A

0A is double portrait as well as a larger panel of cityscape. The persons on the painting are Helene and Alexander Dyhr, my wife and our son respectively. The city is Paris and a bit of Prague joined in a composite image. The concept of this was a celebration of life and the beauty of it. There was quite a lot of perspective drawing that had to be sorted out to make this work as well as liberal use of masking tape.
A double portrait can be notoriously difficult to get right, so it makes sense to make your life easier as a painter. In this composition, the persons are included affectionately and in a relaxed way where they are not centre stage. A mother is up with her baby at dawn and in the sky you see pigeons flying.
It took quite some time and several revisions to complete this four-panel painting. But it was great fun to work on it.
