7i has the working title: “Mrs Whippy & Her Contender”. Mrs Whippy is a short novel by the author Cecelia Ahern. It is the tale of Emelda, a housewife and mother. Her husband Charlie Holt has left her for a 23-year-old dancer, and she is struggling to bring up her five boys. The book is about Emelda’s quest to regain self-esteem.

She begins working at a local supermarket where she ends up working with her eldest son’s girlfriend. For comfort, she turns to ice cream. Thinking of which, Emelda views most of the big moments in her life as being associated with ice cream. She vividly recalls the arrival of the Mr. Whippy ice cream van on one of her most misserable days. It all takes her back to her childhood and leads her on the path to regaining her confidence and the strength to confront her husband.

At that point in the character development, I have added to the story simply by turning the tables. The 23-year-old woman has been abandoned by Charlie, and now she has turned into an ice cream aficionado herself — given how life altering ice cream must be. And if not, it must be a secret weapon of sorts. She has soft ice on her head with chocolate flake, her ear rings are miniature ice creams; and she has coloured sugar balls on her lips.
