6E (Post Shag Something or Other) is the yellow painting in the colour series Chroma. On the canvas, you might notice a woman and the interior decor of a bedroom. In fact, it is an innocent bedroom motif, which sole intention is the capture a happy moment.

There is plenty of ‘woman in bedroom art’ out there to match all tastes and personal preferences. This again, is an innocent attempt to catch the magic of a moment and amplify it with yellow hues.

Yellow has many positive connotations. The signal colour is associated with sunshine, though technically sunlight tends to be all colours and white when mixed. Symbolically it means hope, vitality and happiness. Psychologically, and regardless of culture, we perceive yellow as warmth. In some parts of Asia, it has long been considered a holy colour.

According to surveys in Europe, and North America, yellow is the colour people most often associate with amusement, gentleness, humor, and spontaneity (Eva Heller (2000), Psychologie de la couleur – effets et symboliques, pp. 69–86)
